AIFD ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Introduction

AIFD is established in the year 2004 by Army Welfare Education Society. The Institute records 100% placements from its inception. The students have become AIFD ambassadors in the Industry and started increasing the Institute visibility in the Industry.

Hence, the Institute realised to have an Alumni Association; initially it had informal Alumni Association wherein by default the passing out students become the alumni of the Institute. Once the alumni strength crossed 500 nos, the Institute started conducting Alumni Meet every year to improve the interactions among the students and the alumni. At present, the approx. strength of the alumni association is 900.

In the year 2022, the Principal and Registrar took initiative for registering the Alumni Association formally and assigned the task to the Placement Coordinator to proceed for the same. Registrar identified an Advocate and asked to coordinate with the Placement Coordinator for further process. The Advocate guided the process to register the Alumni Association.

Once the Institute had mooted idea of registering, as per the process, the office bearers need to be selected and Institute conducted online election to select the office bearers of the institute. By the online interactions with the Alumni, a consensus was arrived at the having President from first passed out batch, Vice President from Second Passed out batch, Secretary and Treasurer from the recently passed out batches. Google form was prepared and sent to all the alumni through whatsapp, email, facebook. The alumni took active participation and elected the office bearers. As per the Registration Cooperative Societies Act, the minimum office bearers should be 7 including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer. The Office Bearers list is attached as Appendix 1.

The Institute applied for registration in Jan 2021 with Registrar Cooperative Society, Government of Karnataka under Karnataka Cooperative Association 1960 Act as per sl no. 17 Notification - Registration of Cooperative Societies. Since the Institute belongs to the Jurisdiction of Horamavu (KR Puram), the application submitted to District of Registrar of Societies, Zone-3, Bangalore Urban dist.

The AIFD Alumni Association (AAA) got formally registered on 14thMarch 2023 and Certificate received from the authority and the same has been attached as appendix herewith.

The main objectives of the registering and establishing AAA is as follows:

  • a. To promote a feeling of brotherhood among the members.
  • b. To bring the old students in touch with the present students.
  • c. To create, foster and maintain Union, Friend ship and Fellowship among the Old students of the Institute.
  • d. To disseminate knowledge and know-how for the mutual benefit of the Members as also for the benefit of the Institute
  • e. To encourage and foster the interest of the old students in the present day activities of the Institute.
  • f. To Provide Inspiration and guidance to students of the Institute through the experience and achievements of the old students.
  • g. To cooperate with the Management of the Institute for the betterment of the Institute and its students
  • h. Serving as forum to promote and foster the relationship between the Alumni, present students and the Management.
  • i. To facilitate the Institute in organising Workshops, Seminars, Special Lectures by eminent person from the Industry and organising Industry Visits, Training programs and having continuous touch among the members to build in strong Alumni Association.
  • j. To maintain and bring in contacts of present students and alumni by holding frequent alumni events / celebrations as decided by the Association from time to time.
  • k. To select the Best Alumni Achiever every year as per the SOP made by the Institute and approved in the Alumni Forum of Office Bearers.
  • l. To support students of the Institute in Career Counselling.
  • m. To support students of the institute in terms of Internships, projects and guide them their career path.
  • n. To support students of the Institute in terms of Placements.
  • o. To undertake or to do all other things which may include similar correspond, correlated, incidental matters which may found by the Executive Committee from time to time to be conducive to achieve all or any of the above objectives stated above.
